Cerebral Palsy; Then and Now
When I was young, I was weak
Now I am weak, but supported by friends like a house and its foundation
When I was young, I didn’t mind it when other kids laughed at me
Now I lay awake at night and cry till my eyes are too tired to stay awake
When I was young, I was always being tested by doctors
Now they tell me they know what’s wrong, but there is no cure
When I was young, I thought my life was over
Now I can’t wait to change the world
When I was young, I had Cerebral Palsy
Now I have Cerebral Palsy
