the pleading ryhme
It’s our time to be together,
Be we’ve never been so far apart,
I feel like I have been abandoned,
The meanings of life tearing through my broken heart.
And now I auto pilot myself through life,
Afraid to look at my zombie self,
Because the mirror just keeps screaming back
‘You are nothing all by yourself.’
I need you more than ever,
However, all you care about is you,
Your selfishness eats alive,
You’re fighting; it’s true.
I can’t decide what to do,
A break down or run away
But a voice inside me holds me back,
‘It will be better the next day.’
I should never have to say this,
But it breaks my heart to see
The two of you pulling away
At taken sides by me.
I don’t want to do anything,
Especially choosing between you,
I put my money on
The Forever Family Feud.
I don’t want to be here
But I am needed so desperately bad,
To keep you two separate and wondering
How I’m feeling. Sad?
I need you and
We need you both to see
That if we take things one at a time,
We can be as happy as can be.
I hope someday you’ll find this,
All wrinkled up with time,
So you can remember when a special little girl
Wrote for you a sorrowful, pleading rhyme.
