The Things You Won't See When I Won't Say
You tell me you bet
 All guys are the same
 Testosterone crazy
 Treating girls like a game

You tell me you’ll prove it
 With one single test
 You cover your face
 With a smile surest

 You ask if I know
 The color of your eyes
 I pause at the question
But I don’t need to surmise

 Your eyes are twilight
 Pale and glowing
 Your eyes are violets
 On distant hills growing

 Your eyes are windows
 In cities gleaming
 Your eyes are waterfalls
 In my mind streaming

 Your eyes are flawless
 Without effort or preen
 The bluest blue
 I’ve ever seen

 But all I say
 Is blue
 Because you don’t feel
 The same way too
