The Cajun Folk
A steaming bowl of gumbo, filled to the brim,
A heaping plate of jambalaya,enticing.
Lead you to believe you may be home
The air smells different,I swear to you.
The river walk inviting, the French Quarters calling,
the above ground cemtary Erie and beautiful.
You look up into the street, twists and turns galore.
A carriage ride?
Jazz music on full blast,
street performers earning a buck.
You are surrounded by so much.
Powdered beignets, shining crustaceans
You feel so alive, the love for this city is infatuating.
Warning: you may fall in love with this city...
Too late I see, I did warn you, didn't I?
