Simplicity

Comic books take acquired minds.

Through ventilation blinds, there is the sun.

Snuggling in a jacket calms the nerves,

Just like the warmth of the covers.

Twisting patterns spray across my vision,

Offering picture to the songs on my radio.

The written word thrills quill and soul.

Dewy grass, beneath my feet, feels of morning.

Thunder, miles away, calms;

And lightning, electric, shocks you from peace.

The taste of water, fruity and good, down my throat.

Hair, teased to the brink, awes with style.

The round cheer of shiny bubbles

Gives way to fresh, cleanly scents.

A-tap-a-tap-a-tap, on a keyboard to friends.

A-chirp-a-chirp-a-chirp, from a bird to the sky.

Color, blinding, mesmerizing, perfect in all forms,

Lights the stage for Rock and Roll.

The End
