What i've been waiting for

He smiles at me, and I smile back
I bend down at my locker to pick up my pack.
He starts to walk towards me, what do I say?
I've always hoped this would happen someday.
He stops next to me, gives me a smile,
His lips seem to spread for miles and miles.
He opens his mouth, ready to speak.
I start to get nervous, my knees going weak.
His words start to pour out, when he suddenly sinks my boat.
All he wanted was to borrow my history notes.
