Summer
I can not bear the thought that there is still a month to go
Until I am free to travel high or low
Will I go to the coast
Or to the beach, like most
Every class I am counting down the minutes
It is a true test of my limits
I do not know how much longer I can last
Until all this schoolwork is in the past
Just the mere thought of being free
Makes me want to climb atop a tree
This day needs to hurry fast
Because I do not know how much longer I can last
