There is hope after all
I see hurt and pain
And think to myself, “What’s to gain?”
From a world that doesn’t care
It’s almost too much to bear

 I hear the news
Nothing but love gone wrong and child abuse
 I see the missing posters
 Those children aren’t actors

 So what is to gain?
When families survive on a bowl of grain
 When children die everyday
From mothers who commit foul play
What is to gain from this world?

But like a lighthouse in the dark
There is hope and it sparks
Everyone with its never ending love
It’s like a message sent from above
