The Begining of Something New

Freshman year,
The year we met.
A hot summer day
In a stuffy classroom.
Music blasting in my ears,
A pen scribbling fast in hand.
A note on my desk.
Unfolding a conversation
That brought us close
Only to part for two years.
Reunited by a bus,
Joking, laughing, talking,
Together again.
A year later,
Happy we were,
Happy we are,
Happy we will stay.
