Why fit in when you were born to stand out?-Dr. Suess

As I sat outside that clear dark night
And felt the summer air
I laid my head back, looked to the sky,
And took a moment to stop and stare

As I soaked in all the beauty
Of this lonesome summer night
I found a star in the darkness
As if it was there to give off a light

A light to a world filled with darkness
A guidance to show us the way
A symbol to show that the sun will soon rise
And tommorow will bring a new day

Hope for a brand new tommorow
And for the days that may follow ahead
Hope that may bring a smile to your face
After every tear that you shed

In the midst of all your frustration
May the light turn on in your mind
And you get an idea so incredibly great
That you leave all your worries behind

A light that will flood through the darkness
Of the dreadful stormy weather
A light to show promise in people
That may unite our world together

When your lost and feeling helpless
May the light lead you out of the dark
Or if your lacking the motivation to continue on
May the light give you that spark

If your stuck and looking for answers
The light can guide you along
May it guide you in doing the right things
And lead you away from the wrong

May it lead a path to achieving
Every hope and dream
And after you overcome the obstacles
May that light still eternally gleam

Always have faith in your future
Each day is filled with surprise
Because the key to achieving your hopes and dreams
Is keeping a positive light in your eyes

I'm a big dreamer and this poem is about the guidance and motivation it takes to get there. I'm a firm believer that anything is possible and no dream is to big!
