In Ireland...

Unearthed in Ireland
They laid side-by-side
Two males with large black stones
Wedged into their mouths.
Have never been seen
Since the 700s.
"Zombies," they say.
"Or vampires!"
The large stones
Stopped the transformation.
Their soul left
And no evil soul came.
The barrier was thrust
Into their jaws
Almost dislocating them.
Probably outsiders
Or death by a strange illness.
One thing for sure...
It was not accidental.
