Her skin had turned a pale white,
Her eyes stark as her life slipped away.
Her heart beat fleetingly, she was quite a sight.
It was night, as it had disappeared; the day.
As her heart broke in two, she let out a mournful cry,
A boy stopped, before he passed her by.
'You broke my heart and now you shall die.'
Green mist appeared, the church bell began to ring,
A black bird perched on her gravestone and started to sing.

'Break me free from these chains and you'll see,
No one is more powerful than thee.
You loved, you lost, and you got your heart broken,
You decided to play God but now the ground shall be soaken.
The ground shall be soaked with your blood and the ground shall be ripped open.
These chains will now hold you, just as they have done with me and many before thee.'

Her skin had turned a pale white,
Her eyes stark as her life slipped away.
Her heart beat fleetingly, she was quite a sight.
It was night, as it had disappeared; the day.
As her heart broke in two, she let out a mournful cry,
The ground ripped open, as she watched her beloved die.
The black bird opened its wings as the creature flew away.
Eternity was to never be passed, but only to stay.
There is no happy ending for the heartbroken.

I don't know what inspired me to write this. It's about a girl who felt she was so in love with a boy she can see no faults but then one day she sees his truly ugly side and escapes. I guess part of a personal experience of mine reflects on this, except it was only when I came out of the relationship and time had past, the ugly decided to rear its head.
