Ecliptic clouds disguise the sky, enshrouding happiness in life,
So dark, my days became the night, a vile mask blinding the sight,
Somber confinement was where I’d lie, tied down by hatred, and by pride,
Mists of pity did plight my mind, and so demised this soul of mine,
‘Till I’d begin to search for signs, this love was tainted with despise,
As a weathered man was to the wise, that finite time did not suffice,
But by surprise it took me quite, a sudden strike had me upright
With doubtful thoughts to question ‘why’, a brilliant dawn did so arise,
So now in spite of mighty strife, I spot a single star so bright
A sun enticing me, so white, that only privileged eyes may see the light.
