Storm's A Coming

March 29, 2012
Helpless of thine own demise
Daydreams of the night intertwined
Whispers of the frigid air
Silence of a fleeting fair

Footsteps quaking one, two, three
Forever falling on back to thee
Darkness covered in pinpricks light
God’s own beautiful heavenly sight

Crash of sea splash endlessly
Colliding with earth and sand
Claps of thunder slowly rumble
Unknown to that of man

The raindrops weep but a single song
Rooftops shudder the lies of the wrong
Candles glowing in sills of fine glass
Burning brightly the woes of the past

Blustering howls of wolves on the hunt
Storm’s a coming, a battle on the front
Flash of lightning see my plea
Secret of thine heart of thee
Roll of thunder hear my cries
Helpless of thine own demise
