Red Light
I’m walking down a cold and empty street
It’s raining and I can’t think straight
So many things are just racing through my head
I change thoughts as quick as I hear raindrops
It feels likee I’ve been walking for an eternity
My legs are so tired, my energy is spent
The heaviness of my mind is dragging me down
I feel the weight all the way down to my feet
I look up and see a dull and dimly lit light
It’s weak shine illuminating in the slight haze
Glowing likee it’s trying to say something
But I ask is anyone really listening
No one cares about what you are trying to say
Stop flashing, flicker out, and give it a rest
I keep walking on, the red light goes away
Then I look to my left and see a pair of lights
My legs are so tired, I can’t move anymore
Maybe I should’ve listened to that red light
