What is Poetry?
Poetry can be silly, encouraging, and deep
Can make one smile, laugh, or weep
Being able to express feelings through words
Ones that couldn’t be expressed to be heard
In each line lies beauty waiting to be read
To be understood, but not mislead
Powerful, strong, and outspoken
Can leave you blissful or heartbroken
Its meanings are forever taken differently
At times entirely different from what it was meant to be
