Her laughter fades away.
Away goes that Book, so ancient, so sacred.
Sacred memories seared in my mind,
Mind over matter is how with the pain.

The sureness morphs into doubts,
Doubts rattle the faith.
Faith that we'll meet again one day at the golden gate,
Gateway to my happiness.

Walking through the rain,
Rain drops so cold.
Cold as her touch.
Touch of a smile through the rain.
Rain drifts away with her,
Her laughter fades away.
