"Words paint the pictures, but actions write the stories"

In light of the moon my heart beats a happy tune,
My breath dances with delight my smile in bloom.

The warmth of your love glows as the east,
In the shine of morning’s glory, all is in peace.

The truth of our love is the eternity within,
A day better than another, though each day a gift.

We create a symphony of no other, ours alone to behold,
You laugh the drums while I sing the melodies untold.

We may seem an aberration to all that stay and listen,
All that matters is what we can hear, the love that we see glisten.

Sometimes the symbols crash wild without reason,
Our notes always changing as the ways of the seasons.

Winter torrents strive to quiet all that is said,
After each flake fallen, summers tune takes stead.

Though we have flaws, we continue on, always adding something new,
It plays and plays and plays, from stars light to fresh morning dew.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece for my ex boyfriend, whom I still love but am not in love with. He was my other half, and I wrote this because no one really liked us together. Everyone questioned why I chose him, why I could like someone like him. But few people actually listened and realized it wasn't about looks or social class or any kind of stereotype or regulation set by society. For those who actually paid attention, they could see that we were just happy to be in each other's company. All that mattered was that we loved each other and nothing could change that.
