"Real life sucks losers dry. If you want to f*** with the eagles, you gotta learn to fly." -Heathers

Heartbeat, Heartbreak
I Pray the lord my soul to take.
Watch it darken, watch it fade.
Watch it quiver beneath the Blade.
Steal my heart, the heart of steel.
I find myself in deaths appeal.
Foreign blood surge through my vein,
Take my soul and let it rain.

The author's comments:
This poem was originally inspired by my interest in the intrigue of witchcraft and the spiritual world, and the first draft was called 'devils prayer.' but as i read it over, i realized that the implications of the poem can be vast and all-encompassing. To me, this poem is about being lost, and feeling that he only hope of being someone, is to be someone else. That feeling where you get everything you desired, but you realize its not at all what you wanted in the first place.
