“If you would be pungent, be brief; for it is as with words as with sunbeams. The more they are condensed, the deeper they burn.” – Robert Southey

A thousand golden drops
Scattered loosely in the sky
Pinpoint pricks, connected dots
Create a picture for the eye
The mind reveals the tale
In form the spirit most desires
Human consciousness prevails
In bursts of passion, swift like fires
Echoed songs of lonely souls
In the caverns, in the dark
Left with gaping conscious-holes
Where fear of nothing left its mark
Slowly, weary Night spends years
In his inside, darker way
Suggesting sleep to inclined ears
While Day’s distractions are at bay
Because the world is far too full
Of apathetic kinds of folk
To prove that life cannot be dull
Night creates dreams which create hope
