Seven Ways to Look at Music

April 8, 2008
By Jonathan Cantrell, Taylors, SC

A man with music
Is complete happiness
A man without music
Is depression

The world is moving
Music must be happening

The world without music
Is like a bluebird
That loses its song

She laid there in a deep sleep
Only to be awoken
By a heavenly chord of music

The violinist played
A difficult solo
He was a small part
Of a magnificent orchestra

Among twenty writers
The most important one
Was the writer of music

At the thought of
A music less world
Even the coldest heart
Would be disturbed
