Violence on the News

All we ever see is violence on the news.
People being killed, people being abused.
Why can't they just show gladness?
Because all I see is sadness.
Children dying-
Parents crying-
Dogs biting-
Chickens fighting-
For goodness I wish we'd stand.
And shake each other's hand.
Now put all this nonsense to rest.
Please—let's try our best.
