Sonnett
Unforgettable
Her blue gown swept across the ballroom tiles.
She walked with poise and grace like she was trained.
Elle greeted each guest forcing laughs and smiles;
Awaiting the suitor her kin arranged.
She longed for the true holder of her heart.
Her father begged her to forget him,
But love is stronger when two are apart.
The only thing on her mind was sweet Prim.
Elle’s suitor, Prince Louis crossed the tiled floor
And greeted her with a kiss on each cheek.
She smiled wishing for the one she adored.
The doors flung open and she couldn’t speak.
There across the room stood the silhouette,
of the man she loved and would not forget.
