I see this moon through these fire dulled eyes,
As it floats there gracefully, in its home this dark blue sky,
my body had vanished from this world for far too long,
But this moon had waited for me, my entire time gone,
It looks kindly down at me, as if remembering its old friend,
I gaze back at it gratefully, though realizing tonight would be my end,
my life and all its meaning will be over in a few short seconds,
my age finally got the best of me, but i cannot say that I regret this,
I shall die my own way, Choose the way i let this end,
And i want nothing more to die by the side of an old friend.

I love it shadow! It has really good rhythm. Which not alot of people have. The only thing that bothered me was the though before realizing mid-way through the poem. It sort broke the flow, too many syllables I think.
