Message
Your eyes are shining now
As you gaze into the moonlight.
And as I whisper in your ear, darling
I notice the beauty of the night.
There’s a message in the pavement;
There’s a secret in the dust.
They all try to break the silence,
But they don’t know if they can trust
The sappy lovesick children
With their heads up in the clouds.
They don’t want to spoil the moment,
But no time is better than now.
So as we gaze upon each other
In this silly, childish way.
The world tells us something more.
And we simply say okay.
