To end it all
That one last word
Can crush a person
Or make them
The middle school crush
Or the high school sweetheart
It doesn’t matter
That one last word still hurts
You think about that one last moment
Before you sleep
And right when you wake up
Your life feels
Crushed
Damaged
Broken
Over
Even though
That one last word
Made you feel that way
It’s not all true
Yes, there will be pain
But no, your life won’t end
Just keep on moving
Keep on living
And slowly forget
The one last word
