Norah: Father to Daughter

I’ve been attached to you,

Ever since you were born,

Wrapped around your finger,

Even when you’d look at me in scorn,

And even though we may fight intensely,

I will always love you,

Your strength appalls me,

Especially when you were a baby, and you’d hit me during peek-a-boo,

My baby forever,

Even as you grow old,

I’m so proud to be your father,

And since you’re so bold,

With your outspoken opinions,

Your beautiful testing gaze,

Your tight, loveable hugs,

That can leave me in a glorious daze,

That I know you’re proud to be my daughter too.
