You Were Never There

You were never there to hold my hand or teach me things
I've had this confusion in my head, like a bell it rings.
You always made those promises that you could never keep
Sitting here all alone, and some how all i could do is weep.

Day by day i would give in to listen to your promises
Not to realize that you spoke your words but they were lies.
You never came to consider how i would feel in the end
Making your mistakes, not caring about who you would affend.

I'm tired of having to be let down after so many years
Confusion runs through my mind, have you not seen my tears
So many years gone by i thought you would realize whats gone
On that only fact I had truly found myself wrong!
