Venom running through my veins
Poisoning my heart
Protecting you was all I was doing
the serpent caught me off guard
I fell down too my knees
struggling to breathe
and you were by my side
but that is all I really need
you held my hand tight and
all my pain went away
I love you to death
and death is the price i paid.

The author's comments:
I had a dream about my recently ex girlfriend that i was protecting her from everything no matter what it was. That I would die for her. The serpent symbolizes evil.
