Sad Days
As I stare
only stare from my kitchen window
where did it all go
I turn to my little brother standing next to me
I see a tear glistening down his cheek
he says to me
“why did this happen, WHY”
all I can do is shrug
the truth is
I have no idea.
Last thing I knew I was going to sleep
in my nice warm bed
with a winter wonderland
being created right outside my window
then I wake up the next day
devastated
the snow was gone
and the only proof that is was there
were large puddles of water
and a broken down tree in my front yard
I think to myself
“these are the sad days.”
