My Ranger
I wish I could put into words just what you mean to me.
You give me more than I could ever need.
You aren't the closest thing I keep to my heart right now,
But I pray to God that He'll let you stay around.
If you could see the tears I've already cried for you,
Maybe you'd change what you wanted to do.
But it's not my intention to change your heart,
I'll be with you to the end, right from the start.
I know how much you want to say you love me,
But you know I can't let you if you'll leave me lonely.
You sort of mean more than just something to me.
You kind of mean more than just something to me.
I'm not ready to give you away just yet.
It feels like just the other day we met.
Things would be much easier if you were still a stranger,
But instead my husband is an airborne ranger.
