First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. - Mahatma Gandhi

One by one the pieces broke
Smashed and shattered on the floor
Trashed to nothing but the Core
Torn and Tattered, nothing more

Cold and lost and burned and scorned
Will anyone save them from the floor?
Searching and scavenging for the cure
But all I gathered was a blur

And then one day the Core got up
He said that he would fix it up
He glued and even tried to sew
I felt emotions start to grow

One by one the pieces stuck
Some would sat it’s just pure luck
But I know who my mender is
He changed my life to smooth from frizz

No one knows how long it takes
Until my heart again shall break
Strolling with briefcase, needle, and thread
He came to raise me from the dead

Love, love, can’t you see
What fresh threads he has for me?
My heart is fixed in the end
My God, my seamstress, my best friend

My relationship with my brothers inspired me to write this. I felt heart broken that I didn't have them in my life, and that I didn't know my family. Now I do.
