A Night At Slaughter
A dim light shines through the only window glass.
In a short few months their lives passed.
Cramped bodies imprisoned together,
soon nothing left of them but a single feather.
Screeching fills the room,
accompanied by feelings of depression and gloom.

Clock ticked- slaughter time.
Animals forced to the deathly line.
Hung upside down like a scary clown’s frown.
Metal slits their throats,
forcing their screams in synchronized music notes.
