Here you are inside me
What seems like contractions
Are quite distracting
Everything is so different and changed
Life as I've known it - is all rearranged
Labor seems so unpredictable
But as a mother, I'm sure I'm capable
Oh, these misleading pains
They drive a mother insane!
Here you are inside me
Today might just be the day
I want this intense pain to go away
These contractions are longer
Making me, not that much stronger
Your coming out of the womb
I hope to take you home soon

This was for my child development class. Our assignment was to create a poem of False Labor and True Labor so I meshed the to occurrences together and i think it turned out quite okay :)
