Which is more fragile? XX or XY?
Minute differences block all symmetry
Unlatch locked jaws, crushing parallel veins

Two matching rose windows shade nerves from time
Ghosts haunt marble temples between temples
Cerebral tendrils burn behind eyes like candles
Glaring reflections on our feckless minds.

My thick skin breaks along the scaffolding
(Which once rigidly held me, now falters)
Silent prayers for repair at the alter
Arms up and Spine arched, bolstering the ceiling

This building decaying in our sinkhole chests
Finally condemning us to eternal rest
