"Speak softly and carry a big stick" - Theodore Roosevelt

Far out in the ocean
With water a blue hue
Swims a little mermaid
Under Neptune’s rule

See the crimson streaks in the sky
As morning breaks and twilight dies
A white head of hair is shed
For soon her mermaid grandeur will be dead
Ethereal; the voice, that was once unsung
Of a mouth; rosy lipped, once void of a tongue.

A knife to plunge into the heart she desires
Forged in the he** of a sorceress fire
A trembling hand with this said blade
A task that her broken heart has forbade
Into the sea her body is cast
As her immortal love, does not seem to last.
