After the Storm
I love the sound of thunder,
And the way the wind blows raindrops in my face.
I love the wilder side of nature,
I crave the secrets of this life.
I love being what people don't expect,
And I love seeing the way life works,
Or timing how many days a rose takes to bloom.
Being here to experience everything I can,
Before nature completes the course of my life.
I love being free, being alive.
Because it gives me a chance to feel the wind and rain.
The chance to hear the thunder.
And the opportunity to see a clear sky after the storm.
