Remembering Time
I remember when I was younger.
 I was free back then.
Too bad I didn’t know it.
I should have grabbed freedom by the hand.

 I was free back then,
without a care in the world.
I should have grabbed freedom by the hand
when it still lingered in the air.

Without a care in the world,
I was as free as the whipping wind.
When it still lingered in the air
 time did not matter.

I was as free as the whipping wind,
not paying attention to time slipping past.
 Time did not matter.
I had all the time in the world.

Not paying attention to time slipping past,
I remember when I was younger.
I had all the time in the world.
Too bad I didn’t know it.
