her calling.
Working towards that
hope that

straining to hear

Playing til her fingers
Blistered
Biting her lip
Til the callous
filmed over
To ebb away that pain
In her heart
Trying not to let the tears
Fall
Running sparkling rivlets
Over varnish
Realizing
That now
All she heard
was
