See through the dirt

By
Lilly sits and wonders when the line will end
Waiting for bread, wondering if her life will mend
In the world, she’s just a speck
Eating soup that sticks inside her neck

Then a lady from the shelter sees through the dirt, because she understands the pain and the hurt
The lady’s church collects money, food and clothes
Lilly’s done with her all time lows

Two years later, and she’s doing just fine
Living in a house, and waiting in no lines
She still stays in touch with the lady from the kitchen
Knowing that without her she wouldn’t be livin.
