There once was a girl named Mary
Who had big dream on going to college
To make something of herself
To become a lawyer

But Mary lived in a poor neighborhood
Where it was lucky to graduate out of high school
Mary was poor and had no money
Never knew what it would be like to celebrate
A birthday charismas or any kind of holiday

So she worked hard thought high school
Getting all A’s
Everyone of her friend having babies or
Becoming high school dropouts

But Mary never lost sight of her goals
She earned a full ride scholarship to Harvard
Now Mary's big dream came true
She is now a big time lawyer
But she will never forget her past.
