I Am A Poem
I am from a tropical country.
I am a shy and quiet girl,
but inside I am loud and friendly.
I see palm trees surrounding a stunning mansion.
I hear a bright macaw parrot singing the alphabets.
I wonder what I will look like in 50 years.
I want to visit Paris and Italy when I turn at least 25 years old.
I feel the problems of people when I step into their shoes.
I can touch the midnight sky
with the moon as round as a pepperoni pizza.
I cried when I left my friends and relatives in the Philippines.
I worry that there will be extreme poverty in the future.
I understand the feelings of others that are always left out.
I try to reach out for families that are poor and homeless.
I say nobody is perfect,
except for God.
I dream of being an engineer when I grow up.
I hope that there will be no wars
and peace will spread all over the world.
I am a pacific islander.
