This morning was one of the toughest to get up that I have had in a while
I dragged myself out of bed,
Knowing I couldn’t miss school

They say the early bird gets the worm,
But what’s the worms reward for being out early?
Would he not live if he slept in and avoided the early bird?
Perhaps he too had something important that had to be done early in the day.

Getting up early,
So that you may enjoy the early worm.
Or sleep in late,
And take your chances on the late worm.

The early worm is punctual and reliable,
Who knows when the late worm may arrive.
Just know that the early bird never goes hungry.
