The Two Oceans

March 20, 2008

As I thought we were forever,
Alas, we are now apart.
An ocean of your feelings separates us.
I cry out in longing for your gentle hand,
But you can't hear me over the roar of your waves.
I wave my hand and another ocean splits us in two.
Of my own tears, it surrounds me on an island.
You try to see over the vast expanse in curiosity,
but i am to far away for your caring.
an ocean separates me and you.
Two oceans joined together in hatred, yet love.
Slowly, you suck the water away, but now it is to dry and hot to cross.
We are separated,
To death do us join again.

You always write such profound things. You raise up feelings in me I never even knew I had. The sense of seperation, the hate but also the love, and feeling neglected, invisible. I encourage you to continue the amazing work-in so few words, tears come to my eyes, and yet a sense of purpose! I don't know how you do it. ;)
