Body on Land; Foot in Water

March 19, 2008
By Clyde Webb, Ontario, OR

Her body on land
Her foot in water
in 2006
We lost my mothers daughter
my fathers daughter
my little sister
No one knows how much
I’ve missed her

It happened so fast
My heart needs a cast
Why do the great things never last?
I loved her so
and she’ll never know
She meant so much to me
I miss you Mille

Why am I fighting to live, when I'm just living to fight. Why am I trying to see when there ain't nothing in sight. Why am I trying to give when no one gives me a try. Why am I dying to live, when I'm just living to die.

I like how you took your feelings for your sister and was able to make a great poem
