Resolve

Eyes that linger never really see
the truth inside me
Because I hide it behind a thorn bush
where you can only see the roses
Once picked they prick
Blood flows freely
And scourges the skin I see as pain
Wings stagger in the rain
As I build up walls
so I wont drowned in my tears
It doesn’t take much to make me fall
All they have to do is find my fears
I hide behind a mask so that they don’t see
the pain they have caused me
I turned left searching
I turned right lurching
My steps hovering above the unseen
Hands trying to grab through a screen
Its not where I have come from
But its where I have been
And its where I will return too
Unless I regain my strength to resist
All hopes and fears in my fist
Creating a weapon to protect myself
Combining opposites like night and day
Surviving the hardest thing
Is relying on one open wing
You need both to hold yourself high
Keeping you aloft from things below the sky
don’t let light be taken away from the heart that searches
Because you will find its the last thing you regret
Regret till the end of your days
As you finally descend into the darkness.
