I Look Like My Mother MAG
”You look like your mother,” people tell me,
tears in their eyes.
Her reddish-brown hair
lies on my shoulders.
”You look so much like your mother,” people say.
”Figure and all.”
Tiny and petite.
Small fingers.
Short, oval nails.
Skin as white as snow.
”You look exactly like your mother,” people tell me,
tears in their eyes.
Long black lashes
and eyes glassy green.
”Thank you,” I say and walk away,
tears in my eyes.
