Venturing Out

April 17, 2008
By Jocelyn Tannenbaum, Congers, NY

Venturing out into the cold, it is winter, but it is different here.
People walk instead of drive, the sounds are constantly live.
Never silence, never sleep, always movement.
The lights sparkle like the stars during the night,
If the stars were visible.
But the comfort of a friend can easily help the change.
For the next few days, I live another life,
See through different eyes.
The feeling as if anything can happen is washed over me.
