I Gasp for Air

I gasp for air,
I hold my stomach
my chest pounds
my heart thumps
as you walk away,
linking arms,
a slight red blush
upon your cheeks
and she looks ethereal
in your eyes
as I once did,
but now I'm invisible
and merely
floating away...
