Sun Wheat

April 15, 2008
By Anonymous

In the morning,
When the sun first emerges
From the shadowy Earth;
When no birds have yet sung
Their morning carols;
And the soils are still cold;
The wheat will grow in gold waves,
Under the rising sun.

What a thought provoking and beautiful poem. You are a very talented writer Ciera.

A few weeks ago I was cleaning out my closet and found this poem that I threw in there. I sent it to Teen Ink because it's very symbolic to me and when I read it I get a feeling that even dark times will eventually grow light.
